Parenting Support

Keren offers parent guidance and support, along with practical parenting skills to help manage challenging behaviours, tune into children’s emotions and foster resilience.

Her approach emphasises strengthening the parent-child relationship and helping parents understand the underlying emotions and meaning behind their child's behaviour.

Keren offers psychoeducation and coaching to help parents understand their child's needs and feel more confident in their parenting choices.

Additionally, Keren is a trained facilitator of the Tuning into Kids parenting program, which helps parents develop their children's emotional intelligence and build stronger, more connected relationships.

At the beginning of the therapy or assessment process, Keren meets with parents (without the child present) to complete an intake interview. This allows her to gather a detailed developmental history and background information that is necessary for understanding the presenting concerns.

Regular parent sessions, held separately from a child's therapy, are encouraged. These sessions provide space for parents to receive support, reflect on progress, and explore practical strategies to implement at home.

In some cases, parent-only sessions may be offered. This can be particularly helpful when children are reluctant to attend therapy, for parents of preschool-aged children or in any other circumstances that prevent the child from being directly involved in the process.
